Worth 1000 Words

What the world is like with a little brother:

And then there were four.

March 17, 2007 brought us Gibson Caspar Wessel. Weighing in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces (the very same as his big sister), Gib's presence was larger than life from the start. He's quite the little dude.

Quite the Lineup

A few weeks ago, we had a delightful mountain weekend with pals in Estes Park. Two sides of a duplex + four wee ones + eight parents maximizing adult time while wee ones slept = good times. Here are the dads and little dudes (plus Roxi the dudette): Mike & Levi, Rob & Roxi, Scott & Dario and Tee & Andre.

Movin' On Up

Roxi upgraded to a bigger room a couple of weekends ago, graciously leaving her former quarters for her future brother or sister. Her favorite parts? Purple walls, big bed, fish mobile and lots of space for stuffed animal friends. But top prize goes to the glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling.

Just When You Think You're Wasting Money on Music Classes

Out of the blue, while goofing off in bed: "I'm sliding like a trombone! A slide trombone!"

Ho Ho Ho

Christmas? With the presents and the Santa and the sugary treats? Roxi totally GOT it this year. Though it still took her a couple of days to get through all her presents, what with having to stop and play with each delight after opening it ... not to mention the embarrassment of riches she enjoyed in the gift department (thanks to all you Santas out there).

So, in order:
1. On the Eve, cookies and milk for the jolly old elf.
2. Xmas morning; presents, presents everywhere.
3. Oooooh, check out my cool lizard.
4. Happy hats!
5. Exhilarated and exhausted after round one of opening.

A Wee Touch Of Snow

The official count was somewhere around 20 inches of the white stuff. In our house, however, it was/is called "Wowser dowsers, that's a lot of snow!" snow.

On The Catwalk

These pictures are courtesy of pal Tori, who was using me as a model for a group fashion project (she and her classmates made the dress). The target demographic for said project was pregnant and fabulous, which worked out since I'm pregnant and Roxi is fabulous.

Gobble Gobble

We were fortunate to share Thanksgiving with good friends this year.

Roxi ate at the kid's table.

Everyone enjoyed the intimate gathering ... of 24 adults and 10 kids.

A Long Overdue Introduction

This is Melissa, Roxi's first and utterly fabulous babysitter. She's a senior at CSU and a total blast. Rob and I are almost as smitten with her as Roxi is, which is to say considerably.
